Armedix was founded in 2005 by Randall Murray. In 2004 Randall had successfully launched and was managing a new orthopedic surgery practice in Oklahoma City when he began receiving inquiries from peers and physicians about the practice's billing and collections process. Seeing an opportunity, Randall planned and launched Armedix Medical Billing LLC using the insights gained from managing a busy orthopedic practice, years of management experience in Fortune 500 companies, an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, and a master's degree in Software Engineering.

Managing a medical practice provided Randall with a unique end to end perspective of the challenges of medical practice operations.
